 Manchester to Liverpool bike ride

Now in its eighth year, this ride starts at Salford Quays, leaving Manchester via Old Trafford and Stretford, where it picks up the Trans-Pennine Trail. This mostly traffic-free route is ideal for cycling and takes you along part of the Manchester Ship Canal towards Liverpool and the Mersey, which you'll reach by travelling down the famous Penny Lane.
