This ride has now passed.

Thank you to all the riders who took part in this year's ride. Exellent cycling weather on the day and we've been grateful to receive some very kind comments about the event. Next year, we're looking to move the ride back to its usual July date - we'll update past riders when the ride is open for booking.

From the East End to Southend!

With a new Start at West Ham Park in Newham, East London, we're soon out of town and onto quieter, country roads. Essex will surprise you with its picturesque villages and quiet lanes, winding through gently rolling countryside. After stops along the way, with lunch by Mountnessing windmill, we reach the Finish in the pretty gardens of Priory Park, Southend with music, refreshments, beer tent and a well-earned medal!

Southend Victoria railway station is close by with trains every 20 minutes back to London - bikes go free!

The event will follow up to date Covid-safety guidance from the Government, British Cycling and Safety Advisory Groups.
Social distancing and other measures will be in place - full details will be emailed before the ride and updates can be seen on the Bike Events website here

We recommend that all riders look at the current How to Ride in a Group guide from British Cycling here.

"Thank you do much for a fantastic day, the day went so well & the organisation was spot on. The route signs & marshals were perfect, would not hesitate to book further events." S. B.

"I completed the ride with my friend... in five and a half hours without stopping and raised £1170 for the charity !! If you're not sure if cycling is for you, give it a go, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain, my fitness level is so much better and I am looking a lot leaner. Once you have your bike, its a free hobby." L. W.
