This invigorating ride is an extremely popular event amongst cyclists of all abilities. The route covers 60 miles from Manchester, along the scenic country lanes of Lancashire, and then finishes on the South Promenade in Blackpool. The Christie charity team will welcome you over the finish line where cyclists can enjoy a BBQ, live music and a well-earned massage.

Once again, the event will start from the iconic Imperial War Museum on Salford Quays

The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride is The Christie charity’s largest cycling event that is attended by over 6,000 cyclists each year. The money raised from The Christie Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride helps to provide inspiration and hope to cancer patients and their families, as well as helping to carry out more research, give more people the very best treatment and care – and save even more lives.

Entry fees go towards the safe running of the event; The Christie charity needs participants to raise sponsorship to help revolutionise the fight against cancer.

Don’t just take our word for how great this event is:

"A great route, using a varied mixture of well-signed roads before heading for the coast and along Blackpool’s South Shore Promenade. Riding into the finish area was a memorable experience for riders, with lots of cheering well-wishers. The Solaris Centre parkland was the perfect post-ride chill-out zone where riders could relax and reflect on a memorable ride which raised funds for The Christie hospital in Manchester”. Cycling Active Magazine

“Manchester to Blackpool is such a fun ride and the music and beer tent is a great dangling carrot during the ride.” Baz Bignell
