New route across the Runcorn Bridge!
Two routes to choose from - the mostly traffic-free 40 mile route is great for family cycling and takes you along part of the Manchester Ship Canal. The new on-road route runs south of the canal to the beautiful gardens at Norton Priory and over the Mersey at the Silver Jubilee Bridge in Runcorn. Both routes head to the finish at Alfred Holt Recreation Ground, a stones throw from the mighty Mersey.

Minimum ages: 14yrs on the all on-road route and 8yrs on the family ride.

*PLEASE NOTE The family route follows part of the Trans Pennine Trail alongside the Manchester Ship Canal. We advise that this route option is most suitable for city / hybrid and mountain bikes with a minimum tyre size of 1.5"

Voted number 5 in The Independent's 10 Best Cycling Events for 2012!
