Ride Photo

A choice of 100 mile or 50 mile routes starting and finishing on the seafront near Brighton. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE START/FINISH VENUE HAS CHANGED FROM HOVE LAWNS TO PRESTON PARK, BRIGHTON.

From the start at Preston Park in Brighton the ride heads east along the South Coast to Newhaven where the two routes split. The 50 mile route then follows the river Ouse, climbing gently over the Downs past Glyndebourne’s famous opera house before turning west to Hurstpierpoint and skirting the ‘Devil’s Dyke’ on its return to the finish at Brighton.

The 100 mile route continues on to the clifftop at Beachy Head and across Pevensey Bay to Bexhill before turning north into the challenging hills and beautiful countryside of the High Weald, following the river Ouse southwards to rejoin the short route at Offham.

The route is all on road. We recommend road or hybrid bikes.
