Tour de Tendring

Sunday 19 May 2024START/FINISH HARWICH: Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles, Wick Lane, Dovercourt, Harwich CO12 3TS60 or 20. 20 mile route start/finish at Dovercourt only.

Messieurs-Dames, join us – s’il vous plait - for Le Tour de Tendring Bike Ride! With 60 or 20 mile circular routes, the picturesque district of Tendring offers perfect cycling country with quiet roads, low hills and views to the sea.

Choosing a Start and Finish point in either Dovercourt (Harwich 60 / 20 mile routes) or Clacton-on-Sea, (60). Along the way we’ll visit St Osyth with its historic Martello Tower, Great Bentley - which boasts the biggest village green in England – and Great Oakley, its roots stretching back to the Domesday Book and, of course, Clacton - famous for its pier and pleasure gardens.

Running in conjunction with 2024 Tendring Festival, at both Finish-points you’ll be able to unwind with refreshments and entertainment - and perhaps top the ride off with a free swim at Dovercourt swimming pool...or maybe a splash in the briny at Clacton. (Weather permitting!)
