The Herts 100 Mile Bike Ride has a new date

Due to the continuing Covid-19 outbreak, the ride has been rescheduled for Sunday September 27th and bookings have reopened - just click on the BOOK NOW button above

Cycle 100 miles through pretty villages and delightful Spring countryside in Hertfordshire - a landscape of beautiful half-timbered cottages and colourful marketplaces.
The ride features the usual Bike Events support - signed route, GPX mapping, marshals, pick-up vehicles, refreshment stops, cycle mechanics AND medal for all finishers!

Social distancing and other measures will be in place at all the rides - full details will be sent in the registration packs before the ride and also can be seen here All riders will be expected to follow the Behaviour Code shown here

Please be aware that with regard to regulations covering Covid-19 and public gatherings, this ride will proceed subject to local rules in place on the day. This may mean routes being changed without prior notice and, in certain circumstances, the postponement or cancellation of the event.

In line with the NHS Test and Trace programme, we will retain the contact details of all participants for 21 days, to be made available to the NHS if required. DO NOT take part in the ride if you have symptoms consistent with (or which you suspect to be) Covid-19.

Minimum age 16 on the 100 mile route. Road bike / hybrid recommended.
All riders are strongly recommended to wear a helmet. A selection of helmets will be available for purchase on the day.

Ride Gradings

Suitable for anyone who enjoys a reasonably active life. The pace is gentle and the terrain flat to undulating. Distances no more than 30 miles (50km).

Suitable for those with slightly more cycling experience. the terrain can be a little hillier than grade 1.5 and distances up to 45 miles (70km).

For the regular and reasonably fit cyclist. The terrain may include some challenging hills and distances up to 75 miles (110km).

These routes require a good level of fitness and stamina and feature challenging inclines and/or a longer time in the saddle. Distances can be up to 100 miles (160km).

Getting here by car

Exit A1 at junction 4 (north / south bound) onto A414. Follow A6149 for Welwyn Garden City centre and look for our signs to the Start.

Getting here by train
